Volcanoes National Park
Gorilla trekking, and the encounter that defines a country
Rwanda’s mountain gorillas are the reason most travellers first hear the country’s name, and they remain its single most profound experience — an hour, granted to no more than eight visitors per family per day, spent within metres of a silverback and his troop in dense bamboo forest.
