Solo & Romantic Getaways for Women in Paris
Paris
Autumn in Paris is magical. The crisp air, golden leaves drifting along the Seine, the soft glow of streetlamps at dusk – it’s a season that turns the city into a cinematic dream. Day and I are planning a few days here, and we can’t wait to immerse ourselves in the beauty, charm, and inspiration this city offers. From chic cafés to hidden museums, from boutique hotels to the perfect photo spots, Paris in the fall invites you to experience it slowly, luxuriously, and creatively.
Here’s your ultimate FemmVoyage guide to Paris in Autumn.
I’ve wandered the charming streets of Paris many times on my own – sipping a latte macchiato and savoring a fresh croissant on a quiet terrace tucked away in a sunlit alley. I’ve loved the city’s little secrets, its rhythm, and its endless beauty. But this time, it’s different. This time, I’m bringing my little girl, Day, and Paris is about to feel entirely new.
The funny thing? She picked it herself. Gone are the days of cozy luxury treehouses, open fires, and hours wandering through the forest, searching for little creatures and discovering the quiet wonders of nature. Now, Day’s heart is set on Paris – the bustling streets, chic boutiques, golden sunsets, and the thrill of capturing the city’s magic together.
Together, we’ll shop in elegant boutiques, explore the city’s iconic landmarks, and chase the golden light at sunset across one of its romantic bridges. We’ll hang a love lock, glide through the streets on electric scooters, craft our own perfume, bake delicate macarons… and, of course, she’ll don a little French beret, ready to discover Paris just like her mother did years ago.
This is the Paris I want to share with you: vibrant, playful, elegant, and utterly unforgettable. The City of Love – through our eyes, with a touch of FemmVoyage glamour, independence, and joy.
So come with us this fall and see Paris dressed in her most beautiful autumn colors.

What to See & Do in Paris – Autumn Edition
There is something irresistible about Paris in autumn. The city seems to slow down, wrapping itself in golden light and crisp air, while every corner whispers romance and adventure. It’s the perfect time to wander, to sip, to discover—and to fall in love with the city all over again.
Our days begin the Parisian way: wrapped in a soft scarf, we find a little terrace in Saint-Germain or Montmartre, order a latte macchiato and a warm croissant, and watch the streets come alive. There’s something enchanting about mornings here—the clinking of cups, the rustle of newspapers, the way autumn leaves scatter across the pavement as if nature itself is joining you for breakfast.
From there, Paris invites you to simply flâner—to wander without a plan. We lose ourselves in Montmartre’s cobbled lanes, where ivy climbs the walls and artist studios glow with hidden stories. In Le Marais, concept stores and vintage boutiques tempt us inside, while secret arcades like Galerie Vivienne feel like stepping into another century. These hidden corners remind us that Paris is not just about the big sights, but also about the quiet discoveries that steal your heart when you least expect it.
Oui Paris
And of course, we will not miss the icons. The Eiffel Tower at sunset is high on our list, though we’ll likely admire it from the bridges nearby—Pont Alexandre III or Pont Neuf—where the golden hour turns everything into a cinematic moment. We dream of capturing those soft autumn skies in photographs and maybe even placing a love lock, a symbol of our own journey.
But Paris is not only about romance; it’s also playful and creative. We want to rent electric bikes and glide along wide boulevards, stop for laughter-filled photo moments, and dive into hands-on experiences. A perfume workshop to create our own signature scent. A macaron-making class to sweeten the day. Perhaps an afternoon at Musée d’Orsay or Atelier des Lumières, where art surrounds and inspires.
And when evening falls, we picture ourselves high above the rooftops, maybe at the Galeries Lafayette terrace, watching the city shimmer as autumn paints it in copper and gold. It will be the perfect ending to days filled with discovery, joy, and a little Parisian chic.
Paris in autumn is not just a destination on our list—it’s a dream waiting to unfold.
Paris Do’s & Don’ts – Chic & Independent
Paris is not a city you simply visit; it’s a city you feel. To make the most of your autumn adventure, here are our golden rules, FemmVoyage style ;o)
Do’s
- Flâner, always. Wander slowly through hidden streets, soak in the atmosphere, and let Paris reveal itself at her own pace.
- Capture golden hour. The city glows just before sunset; this is when bridges, cafés, and rooftops are at their most photogenic.
- Dress chic but comfortable. A flowing coat, classic flats or boots, and a little lipstick — the effortless Parisian formula.
- Indulge in the little luxuries. Order that second glass of champagne, try the seasonal tarte aux pommes, and buy yourself fresh flowers.
Don’ts
- Don’t rush. Paris is not about checklists; it’s about moments.
- Don’t stay only on the tourist path. The Eiffel Tower is magic, yes, but the real Paris lives in side streets and secret courtyards.
- Don’t underestimate the weather. Autumn can be crisp — bring layers, a chic scarf, and a cozy wrap.
- Don’t forget to pause. Sometimes the best memory is simply sitting on a bench watching life pass by.
